Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate in Enugu State, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, has praised the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration for sustaining an ambitious infrastructure agenda aimed at improving mobility, boosting economic activities and enhancing the standard of living of residents.

Chief Nnaji gave the commendation on Friday after participating in the inauguration of the newly reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council. The project was officially commissioned on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Present at the ceremony as a special guest of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, CON, Chief Nnaji joined top government officials, political leaders, traditional rulers and members of the host communities in celebrating another milestone in the ongoing transformation of Abuja.

Reflecting on the significance of the project, Chief Nnaji observed that the true measure of leadership lies in delivering projects that have a lasting impact on the lives of the people. He noted that investments in roads and other public infrastructure create the foundation for economic expansion, attract investment, improve access to services and strengthen community development.

He further stressed that governments committed to sustainable growth must prioritise infrastructure capable of serving present and future generations, adding that such projects promote commerce, ease transportation challenges and stimulate inclusive development.

Observers at the event described Chief Nnaji's remarks as consistent with his long-held advocacy for pragmatic governance, noting that he has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to recognise initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to citizens regardless of political considerations.

They maintained that his position reflects a leadership philosophy centred on development, innovation and collaboration in pursuit of national progress.

The reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road is one of several strategic projects being delivered under the FCT Administration's urban renewal programme, which seeks to modernise transportation infrastructure, strengthen connectivity between communities and support economic growth across the nation's capital.

The commissioning ceremony drew a broad spectrum of dignitaries, government officials, community representatives and residents, highlighting the importance of the project to the development of the Federal Capital Territory.

For many participants, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji's attendance reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that advance public welfare and sustainable development, while reinforcing his belief that quality leadership is ultimately measured by the enduring value it creates for the people.
