Enugu West Senator and Senate Minority Whip, Distinguished Senator Osita Ngwu, has been celebrated for his unwavering passion for sports and youth development. On Saturday, August 9th, 2025, the proprietor and Chief Executive Officer of Udi Stars Football Academy, Chief Dr. Joe Chime, presented the people’s senator with branded sports kits in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the round leather game and his consistent commitment to empowering young people across Enugu West.
Also honoured at the occasion was the Chief Executive Officer of Coal City FC Academy, Chief Chukwuemelie Agu, another passionate promoter of grassroots football development.
In a remarkable show of vision, Chief Joe Chime went further to sponsor two reputable scouts from Europe to Nigeria. Their mission is to identify outstanding football talents from Udi Stars Football Academy, other academies in Enugu State, and across Nigeria, with the ultimate goal of giving them the platform to attend trials in Europe and hopefully sign professional contracts with European clubs.
