The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu North Senatorial Zone held a successful zonal meeting on Saturday at Adada Hall, Nsukka, drawing prominent party figures, including former Governor Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ezenta Ezeani, local government chairmen, and other key stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, emphasized the need for party members to remain united and embrace new entrants to bolster PDP’s chances in future elections. Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Ezugwu expressed satisfaction with the turnout, describing it as a testament to the party’s strong grassroots support in the senatorial zone.
"The strength of our party lies in our ability to accommodate diverse perspectives while maintaining a united front. I urge our leaders and members to foster a sense of belonging among both new and existing members," Ezugwu stated.
He also commended the monumental achievements of Governor Peter Mbah, noting that his administration’s strides in infrastructure, education, and economic development have further strengthened PDP’s reputation and attracted more supporters.
The meeting featured robust discussions on strategies to sustain PDP’s dominance in Enugu North, with leaders emphasizing the need for party executives to intensify efforts in promoting internal harmony and grassroots mobilization.
