The Executive Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area, Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh, has called on Nigerians to uphold peace, unity and progress as the country celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Onoh, in his Independence Day message, said the anniversary provides an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s strength, resilience and shared hope for a more progressive Nigeria.
The Enugu North Council Chairman urged residents of the local government area and Nigerians at large to continue promoting peace and unity, stressing the importance of collective efforts in building a better society.
“As we celebrate the 66th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence, we are reminded of our strength, resilience and shared hope for a progressive Nigeria,” Onoh said.
“As a people, may we continue to uphold peace, unity and progress in Enugu North LGA and beyond.”
He also expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, praying for continued prosperity and the sustenance of hope among citizens.
“May our dear nation, Nigeria, continue to prosper, and may the renewed hope of a better tomorrow remain alive in all of us,” he added.
Onoh congratulated Nigerians, particularly residents of Enugu North LGA, on the Independence Day celebration and wished them a peaceful and memorable anniversary.
