Enugu is set for another impactful Wednesday prophetic gathering as Christ Ascension Church, popularly known as the Ascension Centre, Independence Layout, hosts its regular midweek programme on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, continuing a longstanding tradition of prayer, worship and prophetic ministry.
The gathering, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. prompt at Christ Ascension Church, No. 1 Ascension Road, off Monkey Roundabout, Independence Layout, Enugu, is themed “Come Up Hither.”
The programme is expected to provide an atmosphere for spiritual awakening, consecration, prayer, teaching of God’s Word, prophetic ministrations and renewed fellowship with God, as worshippers gather for what organisers describe as another season of divine encounter and empowerment.
The August gathering also comes shortly after the ministry marked a significant 20-year milestone of its Wednesday Prophetic Ministry, celebrated in July under the theme “Celebration of Grace.” The anniversary offered an opportunity to appreciate God for His faithfulness and reflect on the testimonies and impact associated with the ministry since its inception.
Over the years, the Wednesday gathering has remained a regular feature of the church’s spiritual activities, drawing worshippers seeking prayer, encouragement, spiritual direction and deeper communion with God.
The upcoming programme will feature Apostle O.N. Godwin, Founder/President of CAC Worldwide, alongside Prophetess Favour Nnaji, Rev. Stephen Ani, Evangelist Gideon Chibuike, Hon. Mrs. Rita Ede, Pastor Emeka Edeh and Pastor Gideon Bright, as featured on the event programme.
The theme, “Come Up Hither,” is expected to set the tone for a gathering centred on spiritual elevation, renewed dedication and a deeper walk with God.
Organisers have invited Christians, worshippers, ministers, friends and residents of Enugu and neighbouring communities to attend and participate in the programme of prayer, worship, teaching and prophetic ministry.
With the Wednesday Prophetic Ministry having recently commemorated two decades of activity, the August 5 gathering is expected to continue its established rhythm of weekly spiritual fellowship while opening another chapter in its ongoing ministry of prayer and prophetic encouragement.
