For Udi women, the August Meeting represents an opportunity to come together beyond the usual routines, reconnect with one another, celebrate their cultural heritage and reinforce the bonds of unity and sisterhood that define the people of the local government.
The celebration is also expected to showcase the talents, creativity, enterprise and cultural richness of women, while providing an avenue for interaction, entertainment and the sharing of experiences.
The Udi Local Government celebration further complements the statewide initiative of the First Lady, Mrs. Mbah, by taking the spirit of the August Meeting closer to the grassroots and creating an opportunity for women to participate meaningfully within their communities.
As Udi opens its doors to women and guests for the 2026 celebration, the message of resilience will remain central honouring women who continue to stand strong in the face of challenges, inspire their families, build communities and make valuable contributions to the progress of Enugu State.
With Udi joining women across the state in the celebration, the 2026 August Meeting promises to be a colourful expression of womanhood, culture, unity and resilience, reaffirming the strength and indispensable role of the Enugu woman in building stronger families and communities.
