The Methodist Church of Nigeria has honored the General Manager of the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, with the prestigious “Apostle of Faith” Award in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian services to society.
The Award was presented by the Methodist Diocese of Akegbe, Aninri, and Awgu ,under His Lordship Rt Rev C Orji, the Methodist Bishop of AAA Diocese, Enugu.
This Award was given in acknowledgment of Hon Monday Diamond's selfless and holistic contributions to community development and social welfare over the years.
According to the Church, the honor reflects his commitment to service beyond political considerations.
His consistent humanitarian interventions have earned him the popular title Odoziobodo, meaning one who builds and restores communities.
Hon Diamond is described as a man deeply committed to community service, driven by the desire to improve living standards and foster love, unity, and a sense of belonging among the people.
This spirit of service aligns with Christ’s teaching on the greatest commandment, which calls for love for God and love for one’s neighbor, placing God and humanity at the center of purposeful living.
Due to his unavoidable absence, the award was received on his behalf and subsequently delivered at his office by Dr Okechukwu Animba, the Vice President (South East) Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities(SSANU).
In his response, Hon. Ani expressed gratitude to the Methodist Bishop of AAA Diocese, Rt. Rev. C. Orji, and the entire diocese for the thoughtful recognition of his humanitarian efforts. He prayed for continued grace to serve humanity and to positively impact more lives through his work.
He also appreciated His Boss , the Executive Governor of Enugu State Dr Peter Mbah for appointing him the CSDA Boss, an agency saddled with the responsibility of community interventions and wholesome development.
