The (APC) has officially unveiled its timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, setting the stage for a series of internal party processes that will determine its candidates across all elective positions.
According to the document released by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the schedule takes effect from Monday, April 20, 2026, beginning with the issuance of a notice of election to state chapters.
The timetable outlines that the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will commence on Saturday, April 25, and end on Saturday, May 2, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms is fixed for Monday, May 4, 2026.
Screening of aspirants for various positions—including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, and Presidential categories—will hold between Wednesday, May 6, and Friday, May 8, 2026, with the presidential screening scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Publication of screening results is slated for Monday, May 11, while appeals arising from the screening exercise will be entertained between Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The party has scheduled its primary elections to begin with the presidential primary from Friday, May 15, to Saturday, May 16, 2026. This will be followed by the House of Representatives primary on Monday, May 18, Senate on Wednesday, May 20, State House of Assembly on Thursday, May 21, and Governorship primaries on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Appeals from the primaries will run between May 18 and May 25, depending on the category.
In terms of cost, the APC fixed the presidential nomination form at ₦100 million, comprising ₦30 million for expression of interest and ₦70 million for nomination. Governorship forms are pegged at ₦50 million, Senate at ₦20 million, House of Representatives at ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly at ₦6 million.
The party, however, granted concessions to female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities, who are required to pay only for the expression of interest form and 50 percent of the nomination fee.

The release of the timetable signals the formal commencement of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 elections, as political activities across the country are expected to intensify in the coming weeks.
