...As Nkanu Youths Plan Endorsement Rally in Support of Mbah.
The council chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh, has called on the youths to support the re-election bid of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as he has proven to be a leader who has their interest at heart.
Dr. Onoh made this known on Monday when the leadership of Nkanu Youth Organization (NYO) paid a courtesy call to his office.
He stated that the time is now for Enugu youths to be decisive in their interest in making the choice of candidates and political party as the 2027 election activities kick-start; adding that Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and APC are the best gubernatorial candidate and option for the youths in Enugu State come 2027.
He posited that the Governor has historically proven to be a joy and hope giver to Enugu youths with what his administration is doing in security, infrastructure, and human capital development.
He also congratulated the leadership of NYO for the strides they have made so far in emancipating the youths from Nkanu extraction, an act he said is a sign of quality leadership.
According to him, “Our youths must begin to see themselves as critical stakeholders in the future of Enugu State. The decisions we make today will shape the opportunities available to us tomorrow. Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has shown, through practical steps, that governance can work for the people, especially the young population. From improved security to investments in education and job creation, there is clear evidence that the government is thinking about the future. I urge our youths not to be swayed by sentiments but to focus on continuity, stability, and progress. Supporting a leader who understands the needs of the people remains the best choice for sustainable development.”
Responding to the chairman, the National President of Nkanu Youth Organization, Pharmacist Gideon Nwafor, commended Dr. Onoh for his wonderful works at the grassroots level. He stated that he has once again proven that Governor Mbah and ndị Enugu North LG did not make any mistake in their choice of him as he has so far made grassroots governance easier.
The renowned pharmacist also briefed Dr. Onoh about their planned solidarity Endorsement Rally for Governor Mbah, where they are targeting the entire youths from Nkanu extraction coming together to show their solidarity and support for the Governor.
He also solicited for his support to be part of the movement, which he said would tell the world that Nkanu youths want Governor Mbah as the sole gubernatorial candidate from Nkanu land.
“We are mobilizing our youths across communities to take ownership of the political future of Nkanu and Enugu State at large. This planned solidarity rally is not just about numbers but about sending a clear message that the youths are ready to stand for what they believe in. We have seen the efforts of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in different sectors, and we believe continuity will help to strengthen these gains. Our target is to bring together the entire youths in a peaceful and organized manner to show unity and shared purpose. We are also calling on leaders like Dr. Onoh to lend their support, guidance, and encouragement to ensure that this movement achieves its objectives successfully.”
