Enugu witnessed a significant moment of youth-driven engagement and national discourse as the President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), , paid a strategic visit to the General Manager/CEO of the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), , ahead of the much-anticipated South East inauguration of NYA executives.

The high-level meeting, which held in Enugu, formed part of activities lined up for the NYA South East inauguration and award investiture ceremony scheduled to take place at the prestigious . The event is expected to attract prominent youth leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across Nigeria.

During the visit, both leaders engaged in what was described as a productive and forward-thinking deliberation centered on youth empowerment, national unity, and inclusive governance. Amb. Abbas, who previously served as Special Assistant on Youth Affairs to former Vice President , emphasized the urgent need for a leadership ideology that transcends ethnic, religious, and demographic divides.

According to him, the future of Nigeria lies in fostering unity and ensuring equal political opportunities for all citizens, regardless of tribe or religion. He noted that good leadership remains the cornerstone for national development and sustainable progress.

Amb. Abbas also used the opportunity to commend the Governor of Enugu State, , for what he described as a “transformational and people-oriented administrative methodology.” He lauded the governor’s strides in governance, stating that his leadership style sets a benchmark for progressive administration across the country.

In a moment that underscored recognition of grassroots impact, the NYA President expressed admiration for Hon. Ani’s contributions to community development through the CSDA. He highlighted the agency’s visible achievements within a short period, describing them as impactful and worthy of national acknowledgment.

Consequently, Amb. Abbas revealed that the National Youth Alliance has concluded plans to honour Hon. Monday Diamond Ani at the forthcoming inauguration and award ceremony, in recognition of his commitment to community development and youth-focused initiatives.

The visit marks a significant build-up to the NYA South East event, reinforcing the growing collaboration between youth organizations and government agencies in driving development, unity, and inclusive leadership across Nigeria.
