The Global President of Nkanu Youth Organization, Comrade Dikachukwu David, has issued a strong public disclaimer distancing the organization from a circulating announcement allegedly promoted in the name of the NYO.
In a statement released by the leadership of the Nkanu Youth Organization (NYO), Comrade Dikachukwu David alerted the public to the activities of unknown individuals advertising a program tagged “Academic Symposium & Mentorship Cohort” under the NYO banner, without authorization.
According to the Global President, while individuals are free to organize or participate in programs of their choice, the NYO strongly condemns the exploitation of its name and reputation for questionable or fraudulent purposes. He emphasized that the organization has no connection whatsoever with the said program or its promoters.
The disclaimer highlights a growing concern over what the leadership described as the “Japa desperation” of Nigerian youths, an environment increasingly targeted by fraudsters seeking to profit from the hopes and ambitions of young people. Comrade Dikachukwu David warned that these impersonators are allegedly leveraging the trusted name of Nkanu Youth Organization to deceive unsuspecting youths.
“As custodians of your undiluted trust and confidence,” the statement read, “the leadership of NYO finds it necessary to issue this disclaimer to protect our youths and the integrity of the organization.”
The leadership further cautioned Nkanu youths and the general public to exercise extreme caution in associating with the individuals behind the advertised program, stressing that the Nkanu Youth Organization will not be held liable for any negative consequences arising from such engagements.
Despite the incident, Comrade Dikachukwu David reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to youth development and service to the land of their fathers, assuring members that NYO remains focused on its core mission of genuine empowerment, transparency, and progress.
The statement serves as both a warning and a reassurance warning against impersonation and fraud, and reassurance of NYO’s continued dedication to the welfare and advancement of Nkanu youths worldwide.
