The Special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor on Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor (Ononenyi), has hailed Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for what he described as a masterclass in visionary leadership following the governor’s successful presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Enugu State House of Assembly on Tuesday.
Nnajiofor said the N1,617,397,465,000 budget, christened Budget of Renewed Momentum, once again reflects Governor Mbah’s unmatched commitment to economic expansion, infrastructural rebirth, human capital advancement and the long-term prosperity of the state. He described the budget as audacious, realistic, and ambitiously packaged to propel Enugu State into another cycle of exponential growth.
According to him, Governor Mbah has consistently demonstrated an extraordinary ability to stay ahead of economic, social, and leadership challenges through carefully crafted policies that are bold, innovative, and future-focused. He said the 2026 budget stands as further proof of the governor’s mastery of strategic governance and development economics.
Rt. Hon. Nnajiofor noted that the governor’s presentation was “another classic episode where determination and vision meet boldness and leadership capacity,” stressing that the meticulous structure of the budget, 80 per cent capital expenditure and 20 per cent recurrent, shows that Governor Mbah remains unshaken in his commitment to rebuilding critical infrastructure, transforming the economy, modernising public services, and improving the quality of life for Ndi Enugu.
He called on the people of Enugu State to rally behind the governor as the administration accelerates its drive toward sustainable greatness. “I urge Ndi Enugu to join our governor in this continuous journey of greatness,” Nnajiofor said. “The year 2026 will witness another massive wave of transformation across every sector, both in capital and recurrent expenditure frameworks. The Renewed Momentum is real, and the results will be historic.”
The Special Adviser also enjoined members of the Enugu State House of Assembly to expedite legislative consideration and passage of the appropriation bill to enable the governor commence swift implementation. He emphasised that timely approval would further reinforce the administration’s rapid-development agenda and sustain the positive trajectory already established in the past two years.
