Gov Mbah Hailed for Investments in Education as Appointee, Nnamani, Bags Award of Excellence

The governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has been praised for committing over 33 percent allocation of the state budget to education which has led to tremendous achievements in the sector, even as his special assistant, media, Arinze Darlington Nnamani, was honoured with an "award of excellence. The commendations and award came Thursday, during the 10th anniversary conference of the Legal Ideas Forum International, (LIFIN), held at the Justice Mary Odili Law Faculty Auditorium, University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC).

The national president of LIFIN and convener of the conference, Barr. David Chibueze Njoku, while presenting the award of excellence to Mr Nnamani, for his dynamic contributions in shaping the public narrative and advancing the developmental agenda of Enugu State, through strategic media engagements, used the opportunity to eulogies the governor Peter Mbah-led administration for its purpose driven leadership, especially in the areas of infrastructural development, security investments, revitalization of moribund assets and most importantly the commitment of over 33 per cent of the 2023 and 2024 annual budgets to education. 

Earlier, in his speech Hon. Nnamani, encouraged the students participants to take advantage of the conducive academic environment created by the education friendly governor to make much out of their time in school. Nnamani who centered his message on the need for versatility and consistency in their chosen craft also urged them to leverage on the environment of good governance in Enugu state to advance their creativity. While using himself as an example, Nnamani, explained that despite studying Estate management at the first instance before undertaking further studies in media, narrating that his entrance into the political terren stemmed from his consistent insights expressed on national and sub-national issues which earned him some recognitions and recommendations. He therefore urged them to shun the mentality of it must be law practice or nothing. 

The event attracted other notable figures across the southeast, including the attorney general and commissioner for justice, Ebonyi state, Hon. Dr. Ben Uruchi Odo, represented by Mrs Chugo Obiadli,  a former Enugu West senator hopeful,Chief O.A.U Onyema, Senior Special Assistant to Enugu State Governor on Youth Mobilization, West, Hon. Nelson Arum, the executive director, South Sahara Development Organization (SSDO), the chairman, Continuing legal education, young lawyers forum, Enugu State, Barr. Oluchkwu Nwankwor, Esq amongst others.
