The Crisis rocking Ibute-Egede Autonomous Community in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, has taken another dimension, as the president General of the community, Ichie Henry Oyinze, has raised alarms over plots by the embattled traditional ruler of the community, HRH Igwe Peter Okwesiri to mobilize community for solidarity protest to the ministry of rural development, tomorrow, 3rd of April, 2025.
The PG aslo stated that the returnee Monarch upon arrival from the USA commenced plans to to ensure his suspension as PG through the State Commissioner for Chieftaincy, rural development and local government matters, Deacon Okey Ogbodo.
The President General who made this disclosure in a viral audio voice note, equally stressed that his administration, has never supported any individual or group of persons or any committee in the community who reneged on their mandates, while warning those desperately seeking to clean their names from the current messy situation to avoid linking him to the impasse.
He however, stated that his grouse with the monarch started when he began to engage in mass arrests of elders and other dissenting voices from the community for doing nothing but sticking to the truth.
His words: "I want the world to know that the Man has hurriedly returned to Nigeria from the USA and he is currently mobilizing for Counter Protest tomorrow ".
"He has also publicly told some persons that he would ensure my suspension as PG through the commissioner for Rural Development, Deacon Okey Ogbodo.
"So I am using this medium to tell the world to watch out for these desperate decisions which they are currently hatching against me for standing with my people.
"But Whatever the outcome, let it be on record that I have never either publicly or privately supported any group or individuals who reneged on their mandates.
"I have never done so. And I am not in support of the land committee, if they have erred in that direction.
"I am just fighting the course of my people", he concluded..
