...Governor Mbah’s political future is not just a party agenda, it is a people-driven movement!

In a gathering filled with renewed hope, political solidarity, and passionate declarations, the Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Hon. John Ogbodo, has emphatically declared unwavering support for the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, stating that "there is no vacancy in the Lion Building come 2027."

The bold pronouncement was made during the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) local government monthly meeting held in Agbani on Saturday, where Hon. Ogbodo described Governor Mbah as a transformational leader who has redefined the Enugu dream within a remarkably short time in office. "Governor Mbah is not just performing; he is transforming. From infrastructure to innovation, his vision is redefining the Enugu dream, and our people can feel it. This is not politics as usual, this is leadership in motion," Hon. Ogbodo declared to thunderous applause.

The council boss praised the governor's visible achievements across various sectors, highlighting the Smart School Revolution, rapid state-wide infrastructural developments, the ongoing urban renewal project in Enugu city, as well as the prioritization of water accessibility, digital infrastructure and the proposed 200 hectares of farm estates in each of the 260 political wards in EnuguState, just to name but a few. He noted that these initiatives are already improving lives and restoring the people's confidence in governance. “Politics should be about results, not empty promises. Governor Mbah came prepared, and he is leading with uncommon courage and clarity. This is not the time for distractions. It is the time to consolidate. He deserves our full support beyond 2027,” Ogbodo added.

In a heartfelt appeal, the chairman urged political actors in the state to abandon divisive rhetoric and unite behind the governor for the collective progress of Ndi Enugu. His words struck a chord with attendees, many of whom nodded in agreement and expressed shared enthusiasm.

The event also featured stirring remarks from other political heavyweights including Hon. Nnoli Nnaji, Member representing Nkanu East/West federal constituency; Hon. Iloabuchi Aniagu, Member representing Nkanu West in the Enugu State House of Assembly; Hon. Friday Nnam, Deputy Chairman of Nkanu West LGA; the State PDP Women Leader; Barr. Duke Nwafor, Zonal Secretary of the PDP in Enugu East; and Hon. Emmanuel Onovo, PDP Chairman of Nkanu West LGA.

One of the highlights of the gathering was the official return of Dr. Johnpaul Anih, the 2023 Labour Party House of Assembly candidate for Nkanu West, alongside his supporters, to the PDP. Their return was met with overwhelming excitement, with party leaders assuring them of full integration and collaboration.

To further demonstrate commitment to party unity and growth, key stakeholders made generous financial contributions in support of grassroots mobilization efforts and ongoing political activities across the 14 wards of Nkanu West.

Saturday’s meeting in Agbani was not just another political gathering, it was a powerful testament to the growing momentum behind Governor Mbah’s leadership, and a clear signal that the people of Enugu, especially in Nkanu West, are ready to stand by a leader they believe in.

While the chants of “No Vacancy in Lion Building 2027” echoed through the hall, it became clear that Governor Mbah’s political future is not just a party agenda, it is becoming a people-driven movement.
