The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has announced that this month’s clean-up exercise will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. During the exercise, the movement of people and vehicles will be strictly prohibited, except for those on essential duties who must present a valid means of identification or an ESWAMA official pass. The agency has warned that violators will face prosecution at the environmental mobile court.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) wishes to inform the general public that this month's clean-up exercise, will hold on Saturday, 29th March 2025, between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00am.
As usual, movement of people and vehicles during the exercise is prohibited, except those on essential services, who must provide a valid means of identification or ESWAMA's official Pass, as offenders will be arrested and prosecuted at the environmental mobile court of law.
All early morning sporting activities across the state, loading/off-loading of passengers in motor parks and other commercial activities should be suspended during the clean-up exercise.
Meanwhile, the Authority is informing Ndj Enugu that the enforcement against illegal dumping of refuse anywhere within the metropolis, scavenging in and around waste dumps and throwing of dirt out of a moving vehicle or tricycle has commenced.
Similarly, residents of Enugu are being advised to pay their ESWAMA Sanitation rates to the e-ticketing agents in charge of their areas to avoid penalties. For enquiries, call us on 08135534440.
