Hon. Dr. Livinus Okwor, a revered leader and distinguished son of Nike, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the First Lady of Enugu State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, on her remarkable recognition at the African Iconic Women Recognition Awards 2025 Edition.
According to Dr. Okwor, Mrs. Mbah, fondly referred to as Osodieme, clinched a hat-trick of prestigious honors, earning the titles:
- Most Outstanding First Lady of the Year
- Best Performing First Lady of the Year
- People’s Choice of the Year
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Dr. Okwor described these accolades as a well-earned testament to the First Lady’s tireless efforts in transforming lives across Enugu State through her humanitarian initiatives, particularly her pet project, the Customs Care Foundation (CCF). The foundation has been at the forefront of empowering women, supporting children, and catering to the less privileged, further solidifying Mrs. Mbah’s place as a beacon of hope and compassion.
Hon. Dr. Okwor also noted the symbolic timing of these recognitions, highlighting that they came at a period when her husband, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, had equally been honored with numerous awards for good governance a testament to the transformative leadership defining the current administration.
While celebrating Mrs. Mbah’s success, he emphasized that great achievements come with even greater responsibilities. He urged Her Excellency to remain steadfast in her mission to uplift Ndi Enugu and humanity at large, assuring her of unwavering support from the people of Enugu State.

The preparations are underway for the official awards ceremony at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, on May 23, 2025, Enugu State beams with pride, celebrating a First Lady whose vision, elegance, and service continue to inspire generations.
