The Labour Party candidate for the Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Chief Chinedu Eya, has pledged to dedicate the next four years, if elected, speaking and advocating for the interests of youths from the constituency at the National Assembly.
Eya said he would deploy his youthful energy to ensure that more young people from the constituency not only gain access to federal opportunities but also benefit directly from mega skills acquisition and empowerment programmes facilitated through his office.
He explained that his aspiration to represent the constituency was driven by his conviction that youths constitute the strength of every society. He therefore urged young people in Udenu and Igbo-Eze North to take ownership of his campaign and support his ambition.
“I am vying to represent the most important segment of society - the youth constituency. On a daily basis, I am concerned that our youths are not given enough opportunities to excel like their counterparts across the nation.
“I want to be the instrument that will speak for them and help them access federal opportunities. I want to be the vessel through which skills acquisition and empowerment programmes will be made available to them. This is why I am urging them to own my campaign,” he said.
The Labour Party candidate added that his commitment to youth development would be complemented by the sponsorship of motions and bills aimed at promoting development and strengthening the constituency.
He expressed confidence that purposeful representation at the National Assembly would create more opportunities for young people and contribute to the overall development of Udenu and Igbo-Eze North.
