Igbo Community London President Extends Heartfelt April Message, Calls for Unity in Diaspora

The President of the (ICL), , has delivered a stirring New Month goodwill message to Ndi Igbo residing in , urging renewed commitment to unity, cultural preservation, and mutual support.

In his address marking the beginning of April, the ICL President warmly greeted “Ndi Igbo ibem” and the wider Igbo community in London, expressing gratitude and joy as the new month unfolds. He described the season as a time for fresh beginnings an opportunity to reflect, refocus, and reinforce the core values that define the Igbo identity, including hard work, resilience, and communal love.

Speaking passionately about the strength of the diaspora community, Chief Akudinobi emphasized the need for unity, noting that the collective progress of Ndi Igbo abroad depends on shared purpose and solidarity.

He encouraged members of the community to strengthen bonds of togetherness (Ofu Obi), preserve and promote the rich Igbo language, culture, and traditions, and ensure that younger generations remain deeply connected to their heritage.

The community leader also called for increased support among members, stressing that in a fast-paced and demanding environment like London, no individual should feel isolated.

“As a people, let us continue to uplift one another, because together, we rise,” he affirmed.

Chief Akudinobi prayed for good health, divine favour, and success for all members of the Igbo Community London, expressing hope that the new month will bring peace, joy, and fulfillment to every home.

He concluded by wishing Ndi Igbo a happy and prosperous new month, reaffirming the enduring spirit of unity captured in the community’s motto: Ofu Obi ; one heart, one people.
