The Enugu State Government has intensified its bold push toward a digital future as the Enugu Tech Talent (ETT) Programme continues to gain momentum across communities, campuses, and local government areas, positioning the state as a rising hub for global tech talent development.

Driven by the visionary leadership of Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the initiative is part of a strategic commitment to train no fewer than 50,000 youths annually in high-demand digital and technology skills. Stakeholders describe the programme not merely as a training scheme, but as a transformative movement aimed at redefining the economic prospects of young people in the state.

From tertiary institutions to grassroots communities, sensitization campaigns and engagement activities are being intensified to ensure widespread participation. The programme’s reach now spans all 17 Local Government Areas, with a coordinated effort to identify, mobilize, and prepare Ndi Enugu for emerging opportunities in the global digital economy.

Officials of the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency, also known as the Enugu SME Center, emphasized that the ETT Programme is designed to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity by equipping participants with relevant digital competencies that align with global industry standards.

According to the agency, the initiative offers participants access to in-demand tech skills, structured learning pathways, and real career opportunities capable of transforming livelihoods and fostering sustainable economic growth within the state.

As preparations intensify for the next batch of trainees, eligible youths across Enugu State are being encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to become part of the growing digital workforce. The application portal remains open to interested participants willing to embrace the future of work.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to building an innovation-driven economy, noting that the deliberate investment in human capital development is central to its broader agenda of economic transformation and job creation.

Observers have lauded the initiative as a timely intervention, especially in an era where digital skills are increasingly becoming essential for global competitiveness and economic inclusion.

With the ETT Programme steadily expanding its footprint, Enugu State is charting a clear path toward becoming a leading destination for tech talent, innovation, and digital excellence in Nigeria and beyond.

Interested applicants can register through the official portal: www.enugusme.en.gov.ng/ett, as the state continues to build a future where technology drives growth, opportunity, and prosperity for all.
