Governance they say is not guesswork but a structure, sequencing and sustained execution. A visit from Opi to Okutu back to Agbamere, Obimo to Ibagwa-Ani and other places in Nsukka LG, shows that Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa has treated leadership as engineering, deliberate, measurable and results-driven.
In about two years of one term, the fundamentals in Nsukka have shifted.
In just about two years of one term, road rehabilitation under Operation Zero Pothole restored mobility across critical corridors. Strategic road expansions, erosion controls and ring-road delivery strengthened economic circulation.
Borehole projects across multiple communities of Ibagwa-Ani, Obimo, Echarra and others, expanded access to clean water. Rural electrification in Ibagwa-Agu, Aku road market, brought first-time power to neglected areas and stabilized markets with new transformers and reticulation.
Through the confidence and capacity of Engr Jude Asogwa, security is not politicized, it is modernized. From expanded Neighborhood Watch units, Rapid Response formations, border monitoring and drone surveillance moved Nsukka from reactive vulnerability to coordinated vigilance. The return of police presence Okpuje, a previously dormant divisions restored institutional confidence.
Come to Nsukka where markets are expanding. Flood control systems are advancing from Ugwuoye to Obe Echarra, down to Lejja. It is only in Nsukka under Engr Jude Asogwa that our youths are integrated into governance structures across 52 autonomous communities as liaison officers.
Tell me if not Engr Jude Asogwa then who else? Who else has set up committees to identify abandoned projects and align Nsukka with open governance standards?.
Nevertheless, we are not far from foes as well enemies of progress who are more interested in enriching themselves, enemies who are angry because their looted govt properties were recovered under this administration, if not tell me why a sane person will not endorse Engr Jude Asogwa for second term.
I am calling all the right thinking individuals and politicians to see the need for continuity, Engr Jude Asogwa has instituted architectures and they cannot be abandoned midway.
Mega road networks are ongoing. Drainage systems are seasonally phased. Market projects are ongoing. Institutional reforms are stabilizing. To interrupt this leadership Engr Jude Asogwa at this stage is to fracture momentum and dilute coherence, hence the argument for a second tenure is not emotional but strategic.
I talk about continuity because it protects investment. It secures institutional memory and ensures completion. So Nsukka must decide either to reset progress or consolidate it by endorsing Engr Jude Chinedu Asogwa's 2nd term.
Indeed, a vote of confidence for Engr. Jude Asogwa is not blind loyalty, it is a rational endorsement of visible delivery and unfinished structural ambition. With the momentum built, the responsible choice is to sustain it.
