For over a decade now, the Nnamdi Ezesinachi Care Foundation has been a beacon of hope in Akpugo, Enugu State, Nigeria. Each year on December 26, the foundation empowers and uplifts the community by distributing food, providing business grants, and offering wheelchairs to people with disabilities. This year's celebration was the most impactful yet, with three times the number of beneficiaries receiving support.
The highlight of the event was a thrilling raffle draw, where elderly persons and people with disabilities won cash prizes ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦200,000, in addition to essential household items. The joy and gratitude from the community were palpable, with beneficiaries praying for the continued success and well-being of Chief Nnamdi Ezesinachi and his team.
Chief Ezesinachi, the visionary founder, has personally funded this initiative for over 10 years. Now, he is calling on the government, philanthropists, and organizations to join forces to scale up the foundation's impact. The goal is to build houses and implement larger projects that will benefit not just Akpugo, but the entire region.
