The Enugu State Disability Commission has poured encomiums on the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his people-centred leadership and unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, describing his administration as a beacon of hope for persons with disabilities (PWDs) across the state.


In a goodwill message rich with gratitude and Christmas cheer, the Commission applauded Governor Mbah for consistently placing equity, empowerment, and social justice at the core of his development agenda. The message, signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Comr. Eze Jude Chuka, noted that the governor’s style of leadership has restored dignity, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging among members of the disability community.


The appreciation followed a heartwarming Christmas outreach facilitated through the Enugu State Disability Commission, during which Governor Mbah gifted persons with disabilities a cow and several bags of rice to enable them celebrate the festive season joyfully with their families.


The thoughtful gesture triggered excitement and jubilation among beneficiaries, many of whom described it as rare, deeply touching, and symbolic of genuine care for the vulnerable.


The distribution venue came alive with songs, dancing, and prayers as beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the governor. Many attested that the intervention was a clear reflection of Governor Mbah’s compassionate leadership and his resolve to ensure that no segment of society is excluded from the dividends of governance.


A beneficiary Mr. Benedict, specifically thanked the governor for the appointment of Comr. Eze Jude Chuka as Chairman of the newly constituted Enugu State Disability Commission, describing Governor Mbah as a peace-loving leader whose actions consistently align with his promises. He noted that the Christmas gifts came as a pleasant surprise and represented an unprecedented level of recognition and care for persons with disabilities.


Another beneficiary, Mrs. Lucy Ejike, could not hide her excitement as she recounted her shock upon arriving at the venue and seeing a cow and bags of rice prepared for distribution. She described the gesture as overwhelming and offered prayers for God’s continued blessings, wisdom, and protection upon Governor Mbah and his administration.


While addressing the press in Enugu, Comr. Eze Jude Chuka commended Governor Mbah for his exceptional love and support for persons with disabilities, stressing that the governor is setting a noble standard worthy of emulation by leaders across Nigeria.
