In a bold move to prepare Enugu youths for the future of technology and innovation, the Larry Popo Foundation, in collaboration with educators from Houston and Cleveland, Texas, USA, and the Enugu State Government, has announced a groundbreaking AI & Robotics Workshop for Secondary School Students, scheduled to hold on December 28 and 29, 2025.


The highly anticipated two-day workshop, which will take place at the Tekknopolis Innovation Hub, 41 Colliery Avenue, Enugu, is the brainchild of Honourable Chinedu Okoro, Founder of the Larry Popo Foundation. The initiative is widely seen as his strategic contribution towards supporting and advancing the innovative and technology-driven vision of the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose administration has continued to prioritize youth empowerment, digital skills, and future-ready education.


Designed to ignite creativity and technological curiosity among secondary school students, the workshop will expose participants to cutting-edge knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, equipping them with practical skills that align with global technological trends. Beyond learning, the programme comes with exciting incentives, as students will stand a chance to win laptops, consolation prizes, and one exceptional student will emerge as the winner of a university scholarship, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to rewarding excellence and innovation.


The workshop boasts an impressive lineup of local and international facilitators and dignitaries, including Shane Elizabeth Proctor, Educator and Dyslexia Interventionist from Cleveland, USA; Kimberly Patek-Ezeani, a renowned Educationist also from Cleveland, USA; Prof. Emmanuel Chukwunweike, Robotic Scientist at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and Dr. Agu Collins Agu, CEO of TD4PAI, Hardtech Hub, Nigeria.


Also lending strong institutional support are key officials of the Enugu State Government, such as Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, Commissioner for Education; Engr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology; and Barr. Osinachi Nnajieze, Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters. Other notable contributors include Edoga O. Chukwudi, CEO of Digital Dreams, and Honourable Dr. Ginika Tor, Chairman of Accolade Dynamics Limited.
