...Lauds Gov Mbah for Rewarding Grassroots Loyalty
A formidable grassroots political movement in Enugu State, the G-17 Grassroots Mobilisation Force for Governor Peter Mbah, has congratulated its Convener and Board of Trustees Chairman, Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah, on his appointment as a Member of the Enugu State Committee to Review State-Controlled Taxes and Revenues.
The congratulatory statement, signed by Barr. Marcel Nnachetam, the G-17 BOT Legal Adviser, praised the appointment as a well-deserved acknowledgment of Hon. Mbah’s exceptional service, loyalty, and sustained contributions to grassroots political mobilisation and market governance in Enugu State.
According to the statement, G-17 commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for recognising competence and rewarding those who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to his transformational vision. They noted that Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah, who also serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters, has been instrumental in harmonising traders, resolving age-long market leadership disputes, and strengthening government–market relations across the state—making his inclusion in the committee both strategic and impactful.
G-17 also lauded the Governor for assembling a credible nine-man team comprising respected technocrats, administrators, union leaders, and civil society representatives, including:

- Adenike Okebu, Senior Special Assistant on Revenue Mobilisation
- Comrade Ben Asogwa, Chairman, Trade Union Congress, Enugu State

- Ngozi Ezema, Head of Legal, Enugu State Internal Revenue Service
- Engr. Nnanyelugo Onyemelukwe, 1st Deputy President, ECCIMA
- Hon. Paul Okwo, Deputy Council Chairman / ALGON Representative
- Barr. Crownwell Chibuzo, Civil Society Representative
- Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters
The movement described the committee as a balanced and competent team capable of delivering a transparent, fair, and modernised tax and revenue structure for the state.
Furthermore, G-17 reaffirmed its full support for Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah, expressing confidence that he will bring his well-known administrative discipline, grassroots depth, and conflict-resolution expertise to the assignment. They prayed for God’s guidance upon him and urged him to continue representing the ideals of the movement with excellence.
