The Enugu State Government, through the Office of the Surveyor General, has issued a public service announcement mandating the digital charting and endorsement of all registered private layouts and plans across the state in line with its ongoing land digitalization policy.
According to the directive, all registered Private Layouts and Plans must be presented to the Office of the Surveyor General of Enugu State for digital charting and endorsement within the stipulated period of October 1 – December 31, 2025.
The government explained that the exercise is aimed at guaranteeing the security of property ownership, legitimacy of land documents, and ensuring a clear digital identity for all parcels of land.
An important notice attached to the announcement further stated that effective January 1, 2026, only layouts and plans that have been digitally registered, charted, and endorsed will be recognized as valid. Any layout or plan not digitally endorsed by the deadline will be delisted and deemed invalid.

In line with the Enugu State Government’s directive on Land Digitalization, all registered Private Layouts and Plans are required to be presented to the Office of the Surveyor General of Enugu State for Digital Charting and Endorsement.
Duration of Exercise: October 1 – December 31, 2025
This exercise will guarantee:
- Security of Property Ownership
- Legitimacy of Land Documents

Important Notice:
