The Enugu State Government has rolled out glowing tributes to one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Nollywood veterans, Mrs. Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, as she clocks 71 today, September 15, 2025.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, on behalf of the Government and people of Enugu State, described Mrs. Ozokwor as a “beacon of pride” whose remarkable career has projected Nigerian culture to global audiences.

In an official statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dame Ugochi Madueke, the state government noted that Mama G’s enduring legacy in the Nigerian film industry has made her not just an entertainer but a cultural ambassador.
